  • Peter Anfruns

    Peter has lived in the Beechworth area since 1976 and has a long standing interest in environmental issues, having been active in past environmental groups in Beechworth.

    I was inspired by Totally Renewable Yackandandah and Environment Victoria to do something in my own community about renewable energy to help mitigate climate change. I became a founding member of Totally Renewable Beechworth.

  • Beverley Smith

    Beverley moved to Beechworth from Melbourne in 2016 after retiring from the Victorian public service. During her 30 year public service career Beverley led a range of programs and contributed to policy in the areas of renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate change and natural resource management. Beverley views community energy as a critical driver of the change needed in the energy sector and a key climate change response.

  • Stephen Burnett

    Stephen Burnett

    Stephen has been involved with Solar Energy since the 1980’s through the development of Solar Vehicles and racing the World Solar Challenge from Darwin to Adelaide. He wrote the race regulations for the Victorian Schools Model Solar Car Race 30 years ago which still runs today. Stephen is an Engineer, and has experience in the Medium Voltage Electrical Network industry. He is a solar enthusiast with an eye on the everchanging technologies. He moved to the Beechworth in 1995 with his Family and has solar installed on their home.

  • Eliza Ginnivan, Totally Renewable Beechworth committee member

    Eliza Ginnivan

    Eliza joined TRB in 2024 to support her friends, family, neighbours and community to take local action on climate change. Previously Chief of Staff to Helen Haines MP, she now works as the Manager of Regional Engagement for VicGrid, focusing on early, deep and sustained consultation with regional Victorians in transmission projects and renewable energy zone development. Her professional background is as a lawyer and policy adviser, and she has worked at the Public Interest Advocacy Centre, the Environmental Defenders Office and the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. She is a newly-minted firefighter with the Beechworth Fire Brigade and loves to run, surf, garden and travel.

  • Lara Stevens

    Dr Lara Stevens is an environmental activist with an interest in how the arts contributes to climate consciousness and why girls and women are leading climate action globally. She lives in the Indigo Shire with her partner and two young kids. She is a lecturer at Charles Sturt University and the co-editor of the book ‘Feminist Ecologies’, a collection of essays about the pioneering work of Australian women environmental philosophers, activists, artists and writers.
